    PAG40 Conversion?

Is it possible to convert a PAG40-3V's strap into a PAG40B-2V strap? I really like 3V's color, but I'd like a nylon band which would last longer than a rubber strap. I think I've actually seen someone with a 3V with nylon strap, but I don't know how he pulled it off.

Just to let you guys know what I'm talking about, here are the pics:
    http://www.casio.com/products/Timepi.../PAG40_Series/

Once again, as you can see the 3V has a resin band, and the 2V has a nylon band.

    Thanks in advance.

PS- I'm going in the service, so I don't want to rely on my PAW1300's solar power. I can always change the battery for a cheap price for the PAG40 vs. PAW1300's expensive change of parts.

well, since no one knows the answer to this, here's another q:

does anyone know a website where i can search for casio parts? i might think about converting my PAW1300 resin strap into the nylon strap. i was just wondering where i can find the kit to just the strap parts, not the whole watch itself.

    thanks.

I don't own any of those models, but I think you shouldn't have any problem swapping the bands as both have the same case, same dimensions, same screw sets.

As for getting the band, check here (I'm not sure they have it, though, because the 1300's nylon band was part of a limited edition):

    Hope that helps.

The strap adaptors look quite similar to the ones for the PAW1300. I would call up Casio and see if they'll fit. Worth a try.

see, i've been trying VERY hard to find a website that'd sell the adaptors for either pag40 or 1300. i can buy nylon straps anywhere, but without the adaptors it's useless, you know?

anyway, is it possible to call casio for such needs? judging by reading all the stuff about casio sucking with service/support has scared me quite a bit.

Any updates on this? I just got the 3V and would be interested in converting to cloth too.

You just should buy original cloth strap for pag40 if it's available. I don't know about modification with adaptors.

Have a blue 2-v with the blue nylon strap, which fell apart.
Left the end pieces alone, and just cut off the actual strap, then simply choose a 22 or better still 24mm nylon one piece strap and there you go.
