    Parts Question?

Does anyone know where I can get the wire protectors like on this watch? I want them for the 6600 and 5600 series. Thanks. Pic from Sjors.

In the past I have had them from several sellers of their watch. Somehow they have gotten a spare one, but I never managed to find out where you can get them.

    Cheers,

    Re: Parts Question?

    Greetings:

Don't know where you can get one but I had a DW-5600 which was equipped with such a protector. The wire had a habit of moving around scuffing up the bezel and probably doing more damage to the watch then if I had taken it off.

Just my opinion but they are worthless.

Those face protectors were meant for the somewhat bigger models I guess. They perfectly fir the DW-6630, DW-003S and DW-6900 models. I think they were originally designed for these models. I have a few DW-5600's with them. I had one of them in my hands yesterday and I had the same experience. It looks like the wire frame is slighly too big.

    Re: Parts Question?

Just a little trivia here, there are different wire protectors for the 6900 and 5600 which are specifically sized for the different models and once on, they fit very snugly. That said, when I buy them, I always try on a few as some indeed fit better and some not :-D
