For many years I wore a G-Shock but I wasn't really a watch person. I'd go down to walmart and buy a G and wear it for years until it eventually died, then I'd go buy another and do the same. Then at some point I became a watch nut. For a while I was one of 'those' people that thought unless it was swiss made and mechanical it was junk. Recently I got to thinking about how I used to wear a G and decided to look at the current models, wasn't long before I got bit by the bug and decided my lone DW5600E needed some company. The DW-9052 I picked up at walmart was nice but wasn't enough.
So I headed on down to the local Macy's and bought a few G's with the friends and family sale. a GA100, GX56, GW7900, and GDF100. Paid for them on monday and picked them up today.
Awesome watches and the best part was the price. The F&F sale got me 25 percent off and opening a store credit card got me another 20 percent off (I know store cards are horrible for APRs but it'll be paid off immediately so no problem there). So I landed all 4 watches for about $320, or about $80 each. Can't beat that price.
