Picked up a new Casio watch today.

    Hi,

Snagged a great deal today. A Casio WVA105HDA-2V (blue face, metal, analog digital waveceptor) for $23+tax. There was a sale for 40% off; naturally I could not let that pass!

I tried to take a couple of pictures, but photos came out too blurry. So the attached pic shows the details and specs of this model.

I have that watch with the black face and strap. Got it so I could get through a metal detector every day without having to take it off. Be careful as the crystal is unprotected and plastic so it can scratch easily. I do like the lume method on it.

    Enjoy!

$23 for a watch with WaveCeptor? A great price, indeed. Congratulations, my friend.

Re: Picked up a new Casio watch today.

Thanks to all for your good wishes. I am now enjoying this great bargin!

Waveceptor is definitely the way to go for analog Casio's that only have buttons and no crown for easy adjustment.

WhtShadow is right, the crystal is slightly convex and does stick out ever so slightly. My solution to this danger is to use the same screen protector material that's used to protect PDAs - its called WriteRight.

I cut a small round section from a sheet and press in place on the crystal without airbubbles. It's practically invisible. I have used this method on several watches and it has saved them from some nasty scraps. As well as saving my elbow from all that polishing I would have had to do if the protector was not on the surface. If the material gets scuffed badly simply peel off, cut out a new piece and stick it on the crystal - and you're good to go!
