Please help me appreciate my DW-5600E

Hi. My DW-5600E looks lackluster to me. Kind of plain. Without any details to interest me. Please help me appreciate it more. What are some of the beauty points of this watch?

Showing current time in stopwatch mode is more than good enough for me to appreciate it. Not to mention it's classic look.

Thanks for the helpful reply. I appreciate your kindness and help. However, to be quite frank, the only feature I use on this watch is the time telling function.

Yeah, the DW5600 is plain. I guess the obvious question is - Why did you buy it?

To answer your question, one of my favorite G features is the countdown timer. The DW5600's countdown timer can be set to the second - unlike almost all other current models, which can only be set in 1 minute increments. So, that's pretty cool.

The DW-5600E was my first G-Shock. I wanted a basic, classic looking and tough watch for the outdoors that wouldn't be too big.

Yes, that's the general idea with a utilitarian watch, and there are few more splendidly utilitarian than the 5600E.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Not only do I appreciate the friendly help on this forum, but I also love the good writing to be found here. This forum is the best G Shock literature in the world.

Appreciation sometimes comes with time and familiarity. I could never understand why the 6900 was so popular, yet now it's one of my favourites.
