I'm not seeing how it's a big deal. These parts are available from Pacparts. You could build your own from that site. So putting a watch together from those parts is completely fine. Now if I tried to pass it off as a limited edition ruby or sell it as a limited edition ruby then that would be a problem.

It is the same exact part as on the real ruby frogman, sold by Casio. Nothing wrong with doing a mod like this.

This watch clearly had pieces from different models. The caseback and module are from the navy frog.

Ha ha. Well the modules are different on he navy frog and the ruby frog. The red text that's at the top on the ruby frog isn't there on the navy frog. I think that's significant right?

So if I took the rubies out it would look like the 1000BS. I've seen lots if people do that mod. So would that be acceptable? If so, how is that any different than what I've done here?

I like it Disco! I say go ahead and have fun.

If you ever decide to part with it, just disclose correctly. I think that is where Tom was headed.

Yeah I know. But honestly anyone who's a frogman enthusiast would know it's a Frankenstein watch once they saw the back of it. And I would NEVER try to pass it off as something it's not.
