    Poor Mans Ruby Frogman

I've been waiting on all the parts to come in for this and I think it turned out pretty good.

    - module from Navy Frog - added some red paint to the letters (light and log data)
    - 1000BS band and bezel
    - rubies from the ruby frog

    What do you guys think!

I love the red/black color scheme. But I don't like gemstones on watches, so if it were my Frog, I'd go with stealthed black screws. I do think yours matches the original Ruby frog pretty well, though.

Looks very similar. BTW, does anyone else think it is really strange that the rubies are available to buy as a spare part?

I bought the rubies (not cheap) from a guy who has quite a bit of hard to find watch parts.

It's borderline IMHO disco. I wouldn't post it in this G shock forum as it's visible for anyone! We're taking about originals here. So a real Ruby! Just painting some letters is a different story. My 2 cents.

Not ebay I hope... They are available on pacparts you know. I see people buying from pacparts and selling on ebay. BTW, pacparts prices are actually MUCH lower than listed on their website if you have a seller account with them. So the ebay guys are really taking advantage

I said the rubies themselves were real. Never tried to pass this off as anything other than a project. Happens all the time in this forum. Swapping resins, dying, painting, you name it. So I'm not sure what the problem is here.
