    Pos to neg displays...

Anyone switch from pos to neg displays as the sun goes down?
My Muddie MS-1 is difficult to see during the day.
The EL is excellent at night and has the auto light feature.
I tend to wear it at night and when I sleep.
My DW-9052 is great during the day, but just like any digital is
not readable in the dark w/o EL.
    I believe I have a good excuse to have at least 2 G's : )

meh, that is what the EL is for :D

I must be lucky - all my Neg displays look great to my eyes in most light. In dim light they are not so good, however that is the time when the EL saves the day.

I have the standard green (dyed to black though) G-9000 mudman with negative display and while it certainly has a great looking dual illuminator, the display sucks in almost any but bright daylight conditions. The best thing you can have is a crisp clear, positive display with a negative illumination, that is one of the reasons why I like my Casio SGW-200 and my Timex Expedition so much.

    cheers

Exactly. I love my MS, but I got sick of struggling to read it even during average lighting.
And the EL during average lighting doesn't cut it. I'm such a night person that it works out perfect for me at night.
And the pos display on my DW-9052 is fine during the day. And at night obviously since it has EL.
For analog viewing and no need for extra functions I wear my Citizen Orca. Day or night. Lume is nuts!
