    Possessed G-Shock?

I have a strange problem. It seems my GL-7500 is sounding the alarm at 2:00am every morning. I've checked the alarm function and nothing is set. It isn't on and it's set for 8:00pm. I'm puzzled. HELP before my wife throws it out.

    Hi Brokerrookie,

Did you check the settings for each one of the 4 alarms?

It has 3 and a Snooze Alarm. Have you checked that one also? It says SNZ on the display, right after AL3.

Are you sure that the alarm indicator in that little round window is not on in any of the alarms?

Check the Timer is the Timer running?

Alarm indicator in the little round window is not showing that the alarm is activated in any of the settings. I know it sounds weird but I'm not crazy.

I think that could be an option. Open it, take out the battery, reinsert it, and reset it.

It might be that for some reason the watch is unable to empty an earlier setting from its PRAM memory. That might need a battery reset to get fixed!

But what is strange is that it happen the same time all the time which makes it less likely that it is a software glitch that tends to be more intermittent by nature.

So another theory is this one:

The alarm works usually by an alarm spring touching the backplate, this spring actually works much like a antenna and as such is suceptible to electromagnetical interference. EM is known to cause strange behaviour in electronics and many burgular alarms and watch alarm has ben set on as a result of EM at a specific frequency. It is therfore a theory that I have that you or someone else in your sourroundings have soem equipment that gets turned on or off att that particular time. can you think off something in your house that can cause it?

it can be a fridge or frezzer it can be another alarm clock or a timer that turns on or off lights or other equipment- it can be the electric heaters or wram water tank or anything that is running by a timer programming.

it can also be external equipment such as street lights turning on or off.

try changing the position of your watch at that particular time and see if it stops. it might be just that specific location that si poblematic when it comes to this disturbance.
