Is it possible to "dress up" a G Shock?

Forgive me if another thread exists but I did run a search and couldn't find one. I just placed 2 orders today for my very 1st pair of G Shocks. I ordered the GWM5600 (black) and GWM850 (white). Had to get a white cause they are different and surely will get some attention. Ordered the GWM5600 cause it is more retro and classic casio design. I prefer the understated look it has and it is not as big as other G Shocks. I have read several people say that they chose the 5600 because they can wear it with jeans or a suit. They dress it up and wear it to work. I was kind of puzzled by this. I never thought I could pull off a G Shock with a suit.

Has anyone worn the 5600 or ANY G Shock with a suit (slacks, tie, sport coat, etc) ???

Is it possible to "dress up" a G Shock?

Of course! Wear what you like. You have to feel good. Do not think too much about dress codes.

Some G-Shocks can be dressed up. Like the 5600 series and the ones you listed above and IMO the 6900 series although some will consider it big. I don't like squares or smaller G-Shocks. It all comes down to style and confidence, and the you combine it. I don't care what people think, I wear what i like but then I consider myself a trend-setter.

all good advice here, and I'm just glad I'm not seeing pics of someone putting their G in Barbie's clothes or something.

Before I lost my riseman :( I used to wear it to work all the time. I don't wear suits, but do wear a tie/sportscoat. I say go for it.

Since I bought my first G-shock last week, I've been wearing it to work. Can't wait to actually show it off on friday during "casual day" as well! :)

Of course it is possible to wear a G-Shock with a suite. Normally I do not wear suites and ties to work. It's a small company and I just wear Jeans and a Shirt.

But sometimes, seldom but sometimes I wear a suite and a tie, I hate it but I have to. But I would never wear another watch than my Gs. I just own two a newly modified GW-M5600 and a green G-7710. Okay the green one is just for sports, but the M5600 is alway on my wrist.

I never got a negative comment about my watch.
