The postman brings good tidings from Japan: MTG-G1000SG-1AJF

Arrived earlier today from Osaka, the MTG-G1000SG-1AJF. Released this month, 900 made.

Bead-blasted finish makes it nicely scratch-resistant.

Red resin inner bracelet lining, because who doesn’t like that, and DLC caseback, because at this price point, what the hell.

Gold accents give the dial and case some pop. I particularly like the textured gold crown.

Alternating silver & gray bracelet links for some added texture.

Tough Solar, MultiBand6, GPS, sapphire crystal and beastly wrist presence.

    Thanks for watching.
"When the shadow of the sash appeared in the curtains it was between seven and eight o'clock and then I was in time again, hearing the watch. It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

The 7900's are my favourites, although the 56s are currently my focus. But nothing is excluded, except pink Risemans.

Very nice! In your pics it seems quite understated for a grey/gold watch, in person I'm sure its more flashy. Congratulations for ensnaring the golden beast.

Well, earlier this week I picked up a 2nd gen Frogman (1995) that may just be my favorite of all of my Casios (despite being one of my cheapest). Near perfect design and build in my opinion. I love that thing.

Yeah man, I don't typically like gold, but something about the gold, red and black just worked for me here. And actually the watch looks quite understated in person. The gold looks more muted than you'd expect -- sort of a faded yellow gold.
