....and brought a new G member to my humble collection: the G-800BD-1V
I've been longing for this quite some time, but always hestitated to order, because it is a non-solar model (I prefer solar models a lot more). but a few weeks ago I saw this model available in germany from a watch dealer and so I couldn't resist any longer....
I really like the greenish display, its the first one I have ever seen in the flesh, looks pretty cool and brings to the watch a "high-stealth-factor" I think. display and digists are of outstanding clarity, I would say the best I have seen so far and most definetely the best in my collection. the module is no. 3031 thats the same used in the G-9000 mudman but is has the "regular" buttons and case of the GW-800 series which I like a lot better than the stiff
buttons on the mudman.
okay here are some pics, enjoy:
by the way: can anyone help me to figure out how to remove the caseback on that model? I tried it on my GW-810BXD before but failed because the caseback screws are covered by those plastic things and they won't come off for the life of me. I'm just curious if I will ever have to change the battery or to regulate gain or loss, how to manage that.
