    prg40

    To me, casio protrek prg40t is maybe the best looking protrek. It's big and tough, has limited functions but, it's a great watch. Do you think it could be caled cult or legendary or just good old prg40?

    It looks great and has a charming shape that will catch any G-Shock fanatic, but it lacks many features that makes people go with other Protreks. Like me, for example, I was thinking about it before I got my PAW1300G, but after a short time I made my decision that the PAW1300 is way better than the PRG40. I agree with G'ed that Casio really needs to release another version containing Solar power and add one or two more features to it.

    I love the PRG40, it has served me well for many years and I´ve never missed any functions. To me it´s legendary anyway...

    Go ahead! Buy, buy, buy!

    It's limited because it was one of the first protreks...To me 1300 looks little gentle or fragile.Yesterday I was looking prg80 with titanium band. That's a watch . I future I'll probably buy prg80 or 1500.

    I'm really happy with my PRG-40. Whether I'm still happy after changing the 4 batteries only time will tell. Assuming I don't remove the back and have a dozen springs fly all over the place, I can't see a problem. They've been around a while now and I haven't heard any complaints about them quality wise, so they seem to have a proven track record that the newer models don't have yet.

    Unchained. I too think that the 40 is a great looking watch. Very bold and proud. As for the 1300, I don't know about fragile but it doesn't have the same presence...

    yup definately good looking.....and it feels more solid to the touch (maybe thats just me)....pity no upgraded version with same looks....although the price difference....i still had to ponder long and hard on which to get PRG80YT or PRG40...went for the 80 in the end because of the solar...
    PRG40= serious wrist presence
