Problem with 7900 KG 3 tough solar related

    Hi

I purchased a 7900 KG-3 several months back. I recently found out that in full charge, it only goes by a month before it drops to medium. Tried to test again, this time 2-3 days under the sun. Still drops to medium after a full charge. The watch is fully functioning. I have a few other tough solar from casio and they dont have any quick dischargesas compared to this watch.
So from full charge it only lasts about a month before dropping to medium.

Any of you guys can help me out ? Is it a battery problem or the unit itself?

    TIA!

It can take quite some time from reaching "H" till it really is fully charged. There's a chart in the manual about charging times. IMO it's perfectly normal.

    I agree - perfectly normal.

Please note, there is no indicator on your watch for when the watch is fully charged. When the "H" indicator is on, that only means that the watch's power cell is in the top RANGE of charge, but still requires several hours or days of sunlight before it is truly fully charged.

I'm not sure which 7900 you have -- GR? GW? -- but here's the charging chart from the GR version:

As the other have said, it can take several hours of direct sunlight to go from "H" to "completely full."

If you left it out for "2-3 days under the sun" AFTER it reached High, though, there might be a problem -- do you use the light or "auto EL" feature a lot?

In non solar models, batteries usually last MUCH LONGER than stated in the manual.

However, in solar models, you usually have to wait last MUCH LONGER than stated in the manual to get the H on display.

This is pretty weird, isnt it?

In my experience, some G's took almost a week of constant sunlight exposure to change from M to H.

    So it's normal, dont worry. : )

    Cheers,
