    Problems with atomic setting

I just got a GWM5600 and I have yet to be able to get the atomic time setting to work.

I applied all the suggestions from the manual and still an "ERR!" message.

I even attempted it on a roof top parking lot and managed to get an "L3" reception level but still no "GET" message.

    What gives?

try it at night. I've never been able to get it to work during the day... but if I leave mine under the skylight in my living room at night it syncs every time.

this is what you have to do

go to the highest building in you area and get onto the roof

put the watch on your right wrist then swap it over to your left

    do this 5-6 times

spin around in a circle counter-clockwise 12.5 times chanting the words "atomic signal, atomic signal"

than stop dead after 12.5 times exactly, hold the watch up in the air and shout "i have a signal" in a he-man styley

and bobs your uncle you now have a recieved signal..........

if that doesnt work then i cant help you sorry

I can never get any G to manually sync her in Philly. But they sync up fine automatically overnight a couple times a week (even when put away in a closet). It's good enough for me.

I should have known it was a He-Man voice. For goodness sakes I was using my best She-Ra voice.

Thanks guys for the posts. I'll leave it to sync auto and near the window. I hope it works.

A window facing the direction (more or less) of Colorado might improve the chances. Like you, I've never had luck doing a manual daytime sync, but overnight I get it a couple of times a week... sometimes every night, sometimes not for 3 - 4 weeks.

yeah i thaught as much she-ra doesnt work ive tried it before

anyway good luck with the syncing

i hope you get a signal

during the day there is alot of interfearence from cars and phones and others signals all around

at night this is greatly reduced and your watch will find it easier to recieve

by a window with the 12oclock facing outwards should do the trick

sorry about my stupid little joke im glad you saw it as that

i have come to realise that humour is frowned upon in some places here and is segregated to certain forums

anyway hope you get a signal

I was having problems with mine syncing also but believe it or not, every time I wear it to bed it syncs no problem. The other night I slept with my Riseman on my left wrist and my Mudman on my right....lol (they both synced up)

    Re: Problems with atomic setting

out of 5 atomic Gs I have, only the riseman syncs regularly. The other 4, no chance what so ever. Weird.
Couple of watches here and there
