    I have PAW-1300s and PRX-2000.

I find the sensors to be reasonably accurate.

Of course the watch has to be taken off to get an accurate temperature reading. Conversely the watch need to be worn to get the best altimeter accuracy and it needs setting to a reference height regularly if the weather is changeable.

Have the SPF40 (no alti, but tide info)
hardly never use the thermometer as you have to take the watch of for use. Barometer is verry good. Us it a lot to predict wether. Keeps in line with mechanical baro i also have on board. BL is good but short (only 1 sec). Compas is also good enough for quick sea navigation. But with waves, everything with +/1 25 degrees is oke

Batery live is astonisching. Manual says 2 years but have mine now 3-4 years with no change needed! I have the titanium bracelet which is verry comfortable

If you do a search of the forum you'll find some threads from Queen6 with very in depth reviews on almost all the Protreks and their accuracies.

I suggest you check out the upcoming PRG-240 - looks a lot like the PRG-40, but seems to be more precise (apparently the air pressure sensor is temperature compensated).

Wait for the PRG-240 it is a huge improvement on the PRG-40, more features & solar power, with a similar style
