    Protrek PRW 1500GBJ-1JR

    Hi

Just wondering someone can get me to the shop in Japan or wherever that sells Protrek PRW 1500GBJ-1JR model.

I just want another one for spare but rather have a japanese version. Mine now is a pathfinder version.

    Many thanks.

You just want the pro-trek logo? I rather wish I had gotten the pathfinder version so I could switch the thermometer to Fahrenheit.

That is indeed the case. You'll also pay a premium compared to say, Amazon. I'm trying to confine my watch shopping to JDM models only now and the rest I save for the internet.

Don't be sorry, you might have been offering very helpful information.

I remember reading the American manual for the 1500 and thinking it would be easy to switch units, then trying it and discovering that absolutely nothing happened when I held that button. I like the watch anyway and after years in Japan centigrade is pretty natural. Unless I want to take the watch off and set it on a rock for five minutes (or however long that is in metric time) I'm not going to be measuring the temperature usefully anyway.

    Or the altitude.

...which reminds me, I need to calibrate the compass. Haven't done that since Sydney...
