    PRW-3100 illumination question

Just bought a ProTrek prw-3100 and I noticed that it only illuminates from the left side. Is this normal? I thought that it would be illuminated from both sides.

That's normal, but it does use two LEDs that light the whole dial. So why does it matter?

There are two LED's....it should light from both sides.

If you bought it new you need to return/exchange it.

I have both a PRW-3000 and a PRW-S3000 and they both have a very bright backlight...as good as I've ever seen from Casio.

My PRW-3500 is side-lit with 2 LEDs in the same way. It is very bright, very clear, and remarkably even illumination for being side-lit,and pretty too, but not nearly as pretty as my 5610 or 7900.

Thank you. I'm going to contact Amazon about a return. I didn't think it was correct. Thanks again for the advice.

It only has a single LED lighting on the left side. Apparently the second one isn't functioning.

This photo shows the position of the two LEDs on a PRW-3100. Which one is not working on yours?
