    Purchasing a G-Shock in Singapore

Hi all. I'll be traveling to Singapore in a couple of months and looking at picking up a G while I'm there.

Always had a soft spot for the G-6900-1 so wondering where's the best/cheapest place to get one?

Currently the best price I've seen for one online is $104 AUD delivered from Asia to Australia (on eBay Australia).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

    Skywatches in chinatown.
Bencoolen building in bugis (quite a few stores).
Some watch stores in peninsular plaza.
    Caroseull and Gumtree sg online.

I'd go to the first two.

you can find a list of all the stores carrying Casio watches here: Timepieces - Products Availability - CASIO

Singapore also has a lot of G-Factory Stores. These are official stores that have all the new releases etc.. addresses here: G-Factory | Shop Outlets & Branches

then there are the giant departmental stores that usually have a counter at the watch section.

from what i've heard the prices have gone up a lot over there.

Skywatches isn't exactly one of the cheapest though. You can always refer to the website for the prices first before going down. I would prefer 3D at The Bencoolen, or (cannot remember the name, but it has orange lighting and a young friendly man inside) at Peninsula Shopping Centre (don't confuse this with Peninsula Plaza which is just opposite).

Hi i am in Singapore, and for starters, er, this is the worlds most expensive city on the world cost of living index. So i do not buy my watches here if possible.

The prices are generally fixed. You will be in safe hands if you buy from G-Factory. The premium MRGs and MTGs will only be seen at their Marina Bay sands premium outlet.

Beware if you buy from unauthorised agents as these may come without international warranty, hance the lower price.

Good luck with your vacation here.

Go to 3D trading at bencoolen, heres the address: Waterloo St, Singapore 187966
I went to hunt for a rangeman(my first g shock) around peninsula plaza, Chinatown and bencoolen and I found that the shops in bencoolen have the lowest prices for most Gs.
Don't ever buy a g shock at the g factories in Singapore! They are overpriced..

Hey guys thanks a lot for the comments very helpful indeed! I have taken note of everything mentioned here, and if I can't find the G I want in SG for cheaper than on eBay I won't be buying there.

It's the same here. I think all G-Factories have higher prices due to expenses for personnel, rent, electricity, utilities, official advertisements, warranty offers, services, etc.
