    Q about Casio DW-250DG

    Hi to all!
I've picked up this rather beat-up DW-250DG from the local flea-mart quite a while back. Gave it a clean-up. All functions incl. alarms and the lil' light are working fine. I even managed to download the manual (module 689) from the Casio website. Here's what it looks like:

Question is: Where is the depth gauge and how does it work/function?
There are some markings around the bezel that denote depth in meters but I see no clear indication how this works.
I kinda like it as it does look strangely similar to the DW-5700 with the round body & rectangular display.
    Anybody know? Casiophile?

I've got one but mine's beat up too - case is cracked and all that. The depth gauge, as far as I can tell, is that amber colored plastic ring around the outside of the watch near the feet indicator. I guess the water enters it in a small hole at the top and forces something around to indicate the depth. I know there are oldschool dive watches that have this feature.

    Thanks for the reply Casiophile.
So it kinda works abit like a old mercury thermometer then. Not v. practical as you can only tell what max. depth you were at only after you've surfaced from a dive.
