    Query on Atomic Frogman

Was told that the Rose/Yellow Gold accents on the GWF-1000B-1JR & GWF-1000G-1JRGWF are real gold plated

    Any truth in that

Since both are divers and classifed as tool watches, I find that a stretch.

    Anyone care to enlighten ?-1000G-1JR

I'd be very surprised if the gold accents were truly gold. Where does that suggestion come from?
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

Def. false information. The B has more of a copper tone then rose gold.

This is electro-plated, meaning that it's about 0.0001 thick. If you scraped it all off, it wouldn't amount to anything significant. If it's real gold of course.

I doubted. I think the MRG-8000G is the only G-Shock with "real' gold on it.

Dear all, I am in def agreement. Its hard to think that precious metals would be used in the design of something that has to withstand the corrosive salt waters.

The suggestion was made by a local AD for Casio watches (who needs to get their facts right)

Thank you again for your comments.
