    Question about Mudman flash function

    Hi all.
It's interesting to me, how does flash on Mudman work:
    1) does if flash with EL (like in Gulfman) or there is a special LED bulb in that rount window?
    2) what is destination of that round window?

Do you use this function and in what situations?

The EL flashes with the alarms. All that little round/oval window does if tell you if you have the flash alert on or off. I always have it on. It's a visual alert if for some reason there's too much noise to hear the alarm/CDT beeps.

Well, it does use the battery, but as I find the feature useful and quite attractive, I don't think of it as 'bad'. If it's no use to you, and/or you see changing the battery as cause for concern, you can just leave it turned off.

I don't have the solar version, but I don't think it has flashing alert.

the G-9000 uses a CR2025 3 volt lithium battery, which is pretty "juicy". trust me a little flashing is the bat not interesting at all.

does the solar mudman have this feature?
no it doesn't. if solar/atomic is not important to someone, I always recommend to get the G-9000 instead of the GW-9000. its module is alot more advanced and I think it also looks better.
