    Question for GA-100 owners

    Hi everybody,
I have a question for you guys with a GA-100.
When switching between modes using the lower left (c) button is there an audible beep?
All my other G Shocks have a beep tone when switching modes and on some I think you can even turn it off. But I cannot figure out if I am missing something in the manual(PDF version) or it just does not have that function?

Thanks in advance since it is soooo late and I gotta get to bed!!!

There isn't on mine and I've yet to figure it out if there is a way to turn it on... I'll have to check that out later.

There isn't a beep on the GA-1XX models at all I think. This has been asked before!

Personally I am ok with it - I always disable the mode change beep if possible to save battery life and I don't like beeping if I change the mode on my watch in the office.

Actually with the poor legibility of the digital windows, I wish this model at least had the option.

Does turning off the button tones really have that much impact on battery life?

I bet it does if you're a heavy mode changer. I'm guessing it could easily become the equivalent of the alarm running 20+ seconds a day if you cycle through the modes a few times every day. I have the white version of the GA-100 which has excellent legibility of the digital windows but I could def see that being an issue with the black reverse display model.

OK cool. Kinda weird its the only one without an audible beep. Even my full analog GIEZ has the mode beeps.
Anyways, thanks! I was going crazy trying to find it in the manuals.
