    Question for gw-5000 owners

Is the gw-5000 larger than the gw-5600j? My wife has a 5600j and I have been wearing it around trying to decide if it looks too small on my 7.5" wrist.

Also does the 5000 compress the leftmost digit on the display the way that the 5600j does?

Thanks for your help! I'm trying to find a reason to make the gw-5000 a replacement watch for a few of my others.

    Re: Question for gw-5000 owners

I'll try to provide some help here as I don't have a 5600j but I can tell you that the GW-5000 is pretty much the same size at the DW-5600E or GW-M5600 (see photo). I suspect this means it is unlikely to be any bigger than the 5600j.

The left-most digit is compressed, as it pretty much is on all square designs that I've ever seen.

    Good choice

Now put it on the bracelet and have THE perfect daily wearer:

Wow, that's a beauty. I would rather not pay spend another $100 on a bracelet - after what I've already spent - however, I might have to because I'm not sure it the resin strap will be long enough for my 7.5" wrist. I heard that it was shorter, any truth to that?

You'll be fine. I've got 6.5" wrists, and there's plenty to spare. I'm on hole 6 of 13 on the strap.

Plenty of length for you, and the strap on the GW5000 is a velvety soft rubber of much higher quality than the typical G-Shock strap. It would be a shame to not wear its strap, so enjoy it as it is and let your piggy bank replenish!
