Hey everyone. Been a while since I've posted. Had stopped getting any new watches just to give myself a break for a while. Came across a G9300 Mudman for a decent price and I picked it up from FedEx today. Was listed on eBay as a store return, and looked like it, but still wanted to give it a short wash (force of habit I guess).
Well, I could tell right away that it is of the same design as the King. However, I failed to remember that the back cover doesn't come off until you've unscrewed the bezel screws. I thought perhaps they had done away with the design of being able to slip the back cover over the case screws, so I unscrewed two of the case screws before I realized my mistake.
My question is, the seals should have stayed intact even though I unscrewed those back screws correct? I did try to pull up on the back cover a little bit to see if it was going to give, but I don't think I pulled hard enough to affect the case seals.
I screwed the screws back in as snugly as I could and then proceeded to briefly soak band/bezels and case. My gut says it's fine, but my mind wants the crutch of confirmation .
I always liked the G9300 looking at a photo, but I love it even more now actually having one. The design is great, so intricate all over, and I love how they designed the case; looks incredibly tough and bad-ass.
Thanks for any input.
