    Question on new G9300 Mudman

Hey everyone. Been a while since I've posted. Had stopped getting any new watches just to give myself a break for a while. Came across a G9300 Mudman for a decent price and I picked it up from FedEx today. Was listed on eBay as a store return, and looked like it, but still wanted to give it a short wash (force of habit I guess).

Well, I could tell right away that it is of the same design as the King. However, I failed to remember that the back cover doesn't come off until you've unscrewed the bezel screws. I thought perhaps they had done away with the design of being able to slip the back cover over the case screws, so I unscrewed two of the case screws before I realized my mistake.

My question is, the seals should have stayed intact even though I unscrewed those back screws correct? I did try to pull up on the back cover a little bit to see if it was going to give, but I don't think I pulled hard enough to affect the case seals.

I screwed the screws back in as snugly as I could and then proceeded to briefly soak band/bezels and case. My gut says it's fine, but my mind wants the crutch of confirmation .

I always liked the G9300 looking at a photo, but I love it even more now actually having one. The design is great, so intricate all over, and I love how they designed the case; looks incredibly tough and bad-ass.

    Thanks for any input.

its not a compression air lock and youre not going to be shot into space for loosening them (very briefly).
the gasket comes with grease from the factory which helps keep the water resistance effective but even if that gets wiped off (i have several older Gs that have no grease) ive never had any issues with a loss in water resistance.
stop over thinking things and enjoy your new watch. 9300 is def. one of my all time faves

Soulbridge, saw on another post where you were looking to get 9300nv blue bezel/strap for the positive 9300. I just ordered mine off of pacparts.com. Were you able to acquire a set?

nope. never ended up getting it plus pacparts international shipping is down right rude!

i did however get the navy resin for my frog which i love! :D also have a set for the rangeman but am still contemplating a swap since i prefer the positive display which is going on to my green one. a friend already has his eyes on the black with neg. leftovers and the blue resin so it might very well be his instead

Ah, international shipping prices can be a pain. Sorry to hear that.
