"Question for you new G7900 owners..."

Been looking at all the pics posted here and elsewhere, really wanting to kinda get a feel for it before I order and was just wondering if you could compare the fit and feel on your wrist to any other G? The reason I'm asking is the way the underside of the straps are made with the two wings, never had this style band before, thanks. Rob.
Experience is what you end up with when you didn't get what you wanted.

The wings under the watch are not hurting my wrist.
Keep in mind that the watch is as large as the Frogman.
I owned a codename watch many years ago but ihn that case the wings were to small for my wrist and digged into the sides of my wrist.

The wings of the 7900 are quite flexible too.

    My wrist is 19cm/7,50".

I was going to say almost the same thing I had a DW003 which has the wings. The watch was smaller and I did not like the wings, being that this is much larger should not be a problem. The question is why casio added parts to this watch. Why do they think its needed

I would imagine they are like every other G-Shock with 'wings' (aka wrist huggers), you can remove them if you don't like the look...

Looks as if they have to be removable as they block the screws securing the backplate.

They well be made with smaller Japanese wrists in mind.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

There's some 'play' in the orientation of the wrist cuffs with respect to the case. I've a 7.25in wrist and it wears well. If you have much larger wrists, i'd recommend to try it out first as the cuffs have a curve that may not fit well to your wrist contours.

In any case, it can be removed but the the screws that secure it to the main case will stick out... kinda ugly IMHO. Also, it does serve a dual purpose of covering the caseback screws.

    Oops.....wings?

The engineers at Casio must have quite a sense of humor. Sounds like I've been duped, for being the early adopter I am. If that fits my 8" wrist when it arrives I will be shocked....heh!

As hard as I try to like the larger G's it seems there's always a catch. Will I ever learn? Heh!

    Cheers....
