    Questions about Kermit: GW-200F

    1. What did these cost when they first came out?

    2. For the owners, how is the glossy finish holding up? Is the color underneath similar, if some of the sheen wears off?

    Thanks,
    Neil

    Hi Neil,

The original suggested retail price was ¥32000 ($350.-). I got mine slightly cheaper, I think it was around €240.-), but it was probably the most expensive GW-200 model I bought new. I have no idea how the glossy finnish holds, but it holds good on my cheaper Gs.

    Cheers,

    Sjors

The finish should hold up well. So far, so good on mine.

I cracked mine good on the sharp corner of my desk a while back. It should have damaged it but it didn't. That glossy finish is pretty tough.

Thanks gents, I thought it'd hold up well...the glossy on my Silencer's is really great, but with making a larger purchase on this one, I wanted to make sure.

    Man I love that color.
I own a MIRB Frogman and it's the best watch ever but I think I need a green froggie too.

I pulled the trigger on one, and feel really good about it. The auction I won even has an extra band and bezel!

Thanks for all your thoughts and pics!

So far, my Kermit has held up very well to heavy use. The strap keeper does not have a glossy finish and it tends to so dirt, but a quick wipe with a soapy cloth cleans it right up.

I would love to own one of the green froggy's. I was looking on the bay and saw a few for $550.00. WOW!!! Out of my range for sure. I will have to work up to that baby. If I owned one I would be wearing it alot. Great to see all the pics posted.
