    Quiz Time! ID this G-Shock Feature Symbols Card?

    Well firstly I can't!

    This card comes with the 2013 30th Anniversary Casio DW-5030C-1JR. As I brought one as an X-Display, that was NEW OLD STOCK, I missed out on the original box and papers, besides I hear they are in Japanese anyway.

    This is my best GUESS as to what these below symbols mean (from Left to right)
    1. [G] Shock resistant
    2. [20BAR] 200M Water resitant
    3. [O] Module floating in "Alpha gel R" ----> UNSURE???
    4. [EL] Flash alert/ Afterglow ----> UNSURE???
    5. [1/100] Dual 24hr lap stop-watch
    6. [/] Hourly audible chime ----> UNSURE???
    7. [=] Full auto calendar (with 3421 module programmed till year 2099)
    8. [12/24] 12hr or 24hr displayed time option

    Think he meant, 'You can do anything if you put your mind to it!'

    is genetically resistant, and that is why I come here!

    I think 3 means that it's a screwback design, 4 is Electro Luminescence backlight, or no flash or auto el. And 6 is indicating that it has an alarm. Don't absolutely quote me, but I'm 99% sure on those.

    Also 5 means that the stopwatch can count in 1/100ths of a second.

    6 = 24 hour countdown timer with repeat
    7 = Multiple alarms

    Would be my guess.

    Thanks. I think your right on all but maybe 3. Only because I vaguely remember seeing this symbol in a 6900 spec description. But then again I'm only 70% sure of this! There are English instructions on module 3421, but they don't show these symbols. I guess as enthusiasts these are the little annoyances we live with in collecting foreign exotics!

    The first post in this thread has a downloadable catalog that shows all the icons and their descriptions. Have at it. It takes a long time to load. You can also find out the icon terms on Javys.com

    Happy downloading and hunting.

    3 is metal screw back, 5 is stopwatch with 1/100 accuracy, 6 is countdown timer with repeat option and can be set up to 24 hours, 7 is multi alarm daily or specific day of the month, 8 full auto calendar.
