    A rare DW-5600E ?

Hi All - I bought this new about 6 years ago ( I think ) and wore it maybe once lol. Found it in a box with a dead battery so I changed it and she's chirping happily again. I am hearing it may be rare. Could someone tell me the full model # please? :thanks -Ronbo

I've seen this G before, but I'm not sure about the full model number. Ron281969 posted it in the Watch Archive with the model number DW-5600E.

I think it must be an export only model.

Thanks :). Did a little more looking and think it's called the "Mil-Shock" . A lot of guys modified them with a dremel to fit 20mm straps. I don't like to do irreversible mods like that so this one stays as is. Thanks Again -Ronbo

I had that exact same watch. It is a DW-5600EB, which is essentially a 5600E with red lettering, a nylon strap and a strap adapter.
Strictly speaking, it is not a Mil-shock, which were sold by a vendor with customized widened lugs and NATO strap.

Below is the ad that I posted to sell it. I removed the strap adapter and nylon strap and installed an ordinary resin strap...

It's a DW-5600EB, suffix probably -1V or -1DR. It was an US basic model, but I don't know the year. I guess it wS released between 2000 and 2003.

It is not the MilShock. The first batch MilShocks were made of this basic model, because it was easy to obtain at that moment. The MilShock was a modification of this model with fixes bars and a special strap.

    Cheers,

Thanks to All :D!! I took off the original strap to save it and put the Maratec red line. The strap weighs more that the watch lol. Cheers -Ronbo
