    This is real!

After all the buzz about the GF-1000, I decided to pull the trigger on one for my birthday. I received it today and I'm very happy with my purchase.

My first impression when I picked it up was how heavy it feels in the hand. However, when it's on the wrist, the weight practically disappears because of how well balanced it is.

It definitely has a huge presence on my wrist, and I even thought it was a little too big at first. But after wearing it all day, I've gotten used to the size and I'm totally comfortable wearing it. I don't think I can go any bigger than this, though. I have some of the other oversized G models and this one wears the biggest in my opinion.

Here's a comparison shot for some perspective with the GW-225 on the left, the GF-1000 in the middle, and the GXW-56 on the right.

I'm happy to have this model in my collection and I know it will be getting a lot of wrist time in the future.

Congrats! Strange, it doesn't look big in that comparison shot next to the GW-225C, but in my experience it wears very big. It must be the rectangular shape, as compared with the 200 series more rounded shape, that accounts for most of the perceived difference.

Congrats man, I've also earmarked the Red/black 1000BS modle for my birthday. Looks good in your collection there too. My only problem now is that my birthday isn't until December lol the wait could kill me lol!

I want one now more than ever.
Did you buy it from the same place or somewhere else?

Thanks everyone for the good feedback.

The biggest difference in size between the 200 series and the 1000s seems to be the lug width. The 1000 series is a few millimeters wider in the lug area than the 200 series, making it wear much larger than the 200s

I did buy it from the same place, watches-us. The watch came in only 5 days from Singapore to the US and it arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely be using this seller again
