Really dumb poll but I'm actually interested

How snug do you wear your watches? I tend to like mine pretty snug but in looking around, it seems many people wear theirs loose, like a bracelet.

I like mine 'just right' .

Actually, for either bracelet or resin: I wear it tight enough so that it doesn't rotate around my wrist or slide more than 1 to 2 inches up and down my wrist, but loose enough that I'm not cutting off circulation. I hate wearing anything 'tight'.

I generally observe the 'forefinger under the strap' rule.
I used to list my watches here until I realised it ruined people's Google searches...

I like my watches right in the middle, although it is seldom easy to achieve on resin strap G-Shocks.

I'd say that 75% of my G-Shock collection wears either too tight or too loose. I usually use strap adapters and nylon straps on the problem watches, or if they won't work, the watches don't get worn. I've gotten lucky on a couple of problem watches, and enlarged an existing strap hole to get a better fit.

It depends. On my Gulfman the band is very uncomfortable and I leave it loose because if I get just right the side ridges of the band make my wrist ache. On my Frogman I tighten it until the forefinger rule thing.

According to articles i read before, to know if your watch fits perfectly on your wrist, at least your pointer finger should fit when you try to snug it between the strap and your wrist. Wearing your watch too loose tends to make your watch slide up and down your arm which leads to the wearer hitting it somewhere.

Interesting question.. I was just thinking about this myself, recently. I like to wear my watches quite snug.. never really appreciated the look or feel of a loose fitting watch on the wrist.

Depends on the climate.... when it's cooler/dryer in the winter I wear them on the snug side. In the warmer summer weather when one's skin perspires a bit, I wear them looser.

I too try to go by the forefinger rule. I hate the look of a watch so snug that the skin around it on either side looks more full than the skin under the strap. I don't love watches sliding all over the place either, so I try to find that "happy medium".
