    Recipe for the Perfect G-Shock

    1. Start with the classic 5600 square, but strip most of the writing off of it (just leave the g-shock logo and labels for each button).

    2. Make the buttons just a touch bigger and easier to depress--somewhat more Ironman'esque, but not to that extreme.

    3. Use an interchangeable band system with a standard lug width, like what they are doing with the new GA-2000s.

Honestly, with just these adjustments I think it would be the perfect watch and I'd be unlikely to ever buy anything else. Would anyone else like to see something like this?

Definitely agree with you on the buttons.

The buttons are a dream on the old original 5600c, but horrible finger nail jobs on the modern ones.

I like where that’s going. I wouldn’t mind some module changes: one-press stopwatch (a la GW-9400); settings to change stopwatch and CDT from time display to counter display; Timex-style alarms (to adjust weekend, weekday, daily, etc.); press-and-hold to return to home screen; quick swap of world time and home time (i.e. swap departure and arrival time zones). I like the idea of the new BT squares incorporating these with software changes...new LED sounds nice. Keep battery level on home screen for those who like to see that.

I’m easy to please. Just make it square, solar and atomic and I’ll join the queue.

There’s no such thing as one perfect Gshock, even if you design it yourself. There’s always something else you will desire sooner or later.

The one on the far left is a “Foxfire” DW5600E. If it had a non recessed adjust button it would be my perfect G Shock.Name: 96447850-E2B0-430A-80A4-394E4FE50355_1561331708418.jpeg

If there were 1 perfect G, where would the fun be?
