Question To repair or not to repair?

Casio GW-9000A-1 estimate from casio is freaking 82.62. Return shipping is 8 bucks. I'm not going to pay to repair this dang thing so do I pay to have it shipped back or do I just give it to them?

You may keep the parts for future mod, or try to sell them to get some money back.

what's wrong with it? you could try to source the paticular part. I have a mudman with a busted LCD and I just ordered the LCD from Casio for about $12. Haven't received it yet, but I'm hoping it solves my problem. Even if it can't be fixed, you might be able to recover your shipping fees by selling it on Ebay or here just for parts. Never know...

Thank you for proving a point I made in another thread - G Shocks are disposable. Spend $100 (or less) and get a new one. Why mess around with a repair for nearly the same cost? Makes no sense.

The part of the case that the screw that holds the band on attaches to broke. I suppose I could use some JB weld and permanently affix that sucker on there.
