Replacing the crystal of the frogman gwf d1000

    Hi
Have anyone managed to replace the crystal of the frogman .?
Is the crystal changed alone or the whole middle case is replaced with the crystal to preserve the diveability of the frogman?

You have to send it to Casio.

For some members here though -- like Steelerswit, and Kubr1ck -- they have so much inherent "bad-a**ery" that when they put on a bad-a** watch, the energy flows from them TO the watch, making the watch EVEN MORE bad-a**!!! Yes, it's a real scientific phenomenon that obscure mad scientists only recently discovered.

I am just curious to know if the crystal can be removed without damaging the inner plastic bezel that divides the display.
But anyway thanks for your helpful picture

Considering the large polymer bezel that surrounds the dial it's not likely it would be broken. Dive watches are much more exposed and it's uncommon with them. For the most part unless the watch is worn in close proximity to a servicing center the remains would be boxed up and shipped off, with the resulting bill begging the question whether another watch would have been cheaper.

Hence the reason some of us don't bother with higher priced models in rugged service. A look around during my service years and in my local work atmosphere seems to indicate that most people arrive at the same conclusion. If it can get broken then less than a days pay is the average spent for another one. If the risk is that high in some activities and the watch can't be relocated (worn inside the wrist) then I'd expect that personal injury is equally high, at which point the outcome of the watch isn't important.
