I would like to restore my 26 year old DBC-61 in its former glory.
What needs to be done?
- new battery
- new strap
- new keyboard
The first 2 items are really easy to accomplish: just buy and install.
The keyboard however... that's something different!
Found a site where someone designed the keyboard on his pc, printed it on piece of plastic and pasted it on his watch. It looked good and it worked flawlesly.
Now I was wondering: what kind of plastic can I use to print a keyboard? It should be thin enough to manipulate the buttons beneath, but not to thin either so that the buttons can not be seen or felt...
This is the watch in its current state...
I have been looking for donor watches, but the cheap ones mostly have crappy keyboards as well and the ones in good condition I don't want to 'ruin' to save mine...
Suggestions are welcome!
