Revitalising of Casio DW-5000SP (20th Anniversary Edition)

Just got this quite rare beauty today. Last owner took less care on it, bezel was brittle and finally broke when I tried to remove it.
Due to its age, I decide to perform a full overhaul to restore this watch as much as I could.
First with the blow up details:

Unfortunately, I lost one "saddle" clip when I tried to reattach to tip of the "Adjust" pushbutton.

Hence, I bought a brand new DW-5600E and use its bezel, band, one saddle clip and rubber O-ring on this DW-5000SP. Initially, I was trying to use all the pushbuttons of DW-5600E on this DW-5000SP. I gave up this thought when I found they are not appropriate (in terms of build quality & thickness, DW-5000SP buttons are of superior quality)
I used decent spectacle cloth to clean the body. Looks very clean with minimal scratches after brief cleaning.

Finally, I apply silicone-based grease to bezel screw holes, spring bar holes, pushbutton O-ring & spring, thread of screwback cover. This preventive measure is very important as it will certainly help to increase your watch life expectancy.

Very nicely restored and looks fresh from the factory :)

I apologise for going off topic and my question as Im considered still a noob with the previous generations of G Shocks.

I noticed this 20th Anniversary square has the exact same faceplate as the DW-5030-1 from the GSET-30-1. I am curious why does it look exactly the same?

Both pay homage to the original DW-5000.

Strictly speaking, there are several noticeable differences between GSET DW-5030 & this DW-5000SP:
    1) There is a small -N- under "AUTO REPEAT" wording
    2) Electronic module used is 3229 instead of 1545. Color of illumination is more greenish for DW-5030, if compared to DW-5000SP. Why 3229 but not 3421? Press "Adjust" and "Mode" and "Light On Off" pushbuttons concurrently, you will get following display:-
    Name: DSCN1107.JPG
Views: 606
Size: 112.7 KB
Press once again on "Light On Off" pushbuttons, you should get display as follows:
    Name: DSCN1108.JPG
Views: 525
Size: 121.4 KB
Press 3 times again on "Light On Off" pushbuttons will lead you back to normal condition.

Both of these two watches are re-issue version, to show tribute to genuine DW-5000C-1A with excellent floating module concept and never outdated classic square design. In fact, 30 years have passed and people still loving them.
