    Riseman question...

    Ciao,

I'm curious if the altimeter shows a negative reading when diving?
I will never use it diving. Just swimming, etc... Just curious.
I live in the mountains in NE Italy and it works great for biking and hiking.
So has any one taken one under water deep enough to know this?
    Grazie.

    Anthony

    Re: Riseman question...

    Hi Anthony,

since the Riseman altimeter reads changes in air-pressure, it obviously cannot function under water. Only a depth-meter could tell you how far down you are going while diving.

Thanks. I knew it uses air pressure, but didn't make the connection. Duh.
