    RM series - GW-S5600-1JF & GW-S5600B-1JF update

So has anyone seen any further updates on these two models since Riley showed the new catalogue on his website?

Can anyone who can read japanese shed anymore light on these models?

I guess that the RM series is a new series of G-shocks that will include carbon fibre in the construction. Looking at the catalogue, it looks like the 5600 models only have carbon fibre in the strap and not the bezel though.

I'm really looking forward to seeing some real photos of these models and then deciding which one I want the most.
    G-Shocks - GW-5000, DW-5030C, GW-6900 & DW-5600E.
Chronographs - Heuer Monaco 73633B, Tissot Quickster & Festina 9472.

Wish list - DW-5025D, DW-5000ML, DW-5700ML, vintage Heuers, Tudor Heritage Chrono, Seiko SBDC 001 "Sumo" & Stowa Prodiver.

    Owned in the past -
    GWF-1000, GW-M5600BC, GW-M5600, G-5500TS-8 & Seiko 7016-5001.

They will use the same module as the GW-5000, module 3159, so all the functionality is known. As are the list prices (32,000 and 30,000 Yen) and probably the release month: June. [Edit: the reverse model is due in July maybe?]

I join the rest of you (square fans) in truly looking forward to owning one of these as soon as possible!

    Question Re: RM series - GW-S5600-1JF & GW-S5600B-1JF update

anyone know if they are screwbacks?

I am thinking that it is not. The picture indicates that it is around 47g which is lighter than a screwback G which I think they weight about 74g or something.

I agree. too light to be a steel screwback. I think that the high price is due to this new carbon fiber thing.

The press release is out and the debut is indeed June.

And check out this cool (previously linked) article on the carbon fiber development.
