    Rolex Frogman!!!!!!

My girlfriend recently made a remark and it had stuck ever since. She called the GWF1000G Frogman, the "Rolex Frogman".

It seems so apt and it really stuck in my head and i've been calling it as such.

I don't know if you guys agree but if it's any frog out there more deserving of a description as the " Rolex" which pretty much just succinctly says"Premium",
    I'd say it's the GWF1000G!

Unfortunately I don't have pics that will do it justice. Why don't you guys with the Rolex frogman do us readers the honor...

    Re: Rolex Frogman!!!!!!

    Argh.

I shudder at the notion of anything being called a 'Rolex G Shock'.

    a) the whole point is that they are not Rolexes
    b) I don't like even the idea of Rolex as being 'the best' or 'premium' in the watch world. (nb they are of course excellent watches).

    Sorry :D

It is (the Frog) of course a great watch. I see it as just that, in its own right.

Pics never go astray here :D

I think your girlfriend's comment was dead-on correct! It's the top-of-the line Frogman, in the same way that (in my opinion) Rolex is the top-of-the-line automatic diving watch. The SEALs and many others used to use Rolex Submariners, and now G-shocks (the top of which is the Atomic Frogman) are pretty much the watch of choice for military divers.

Wrong!.............the DW6600-1V is the top choice of military divers and SEALs.

Aha...the thread is going down the road of 'what does the Terminator use for a watch'. Brilliant.

I know that about the DW6600. What I said was that military divers use G-shocks, and the top G-shock is the Atomic Frogman, which isn't saying that SEALs use the Atomic Frogman.

    Re: Rolex Frogman!!!!!!

Oh, Nate - c'mon now. If there is such a thing as a "Rolex G-Shock," then would it not make sense that in some parallel universe there would be a "Casio DateJust?" The DateJust, btw, is an iconic Rolex model, just as the Frogman is an iconic G-Shock.

Does it make sense now? If not, then consider that maybe since your perception is your reality, and reality is an illusion, then your perception is an illusion, which eludes you . . . really.
