Safe to charge near a hot window?

One of my Casio manuals warns against "wearing" a watch that has recently gotten hot from being charged. Such as from sitting on a car dashboard. Basically implying that the only concern is potential harm to your skin from wearing it.

Does this mean that it is okay to charge it in such a way? That it won't damage the watch, even inside a hot car in the summer?

There is a maximum temperature for every electronic component.
If youre going above 60°C many of the parts degrade in lifetime.
For the battery the temperature should be lower over time to keep it alive for a longer time.

So a short exposure to heat is no problem but over the long term this will degrade lifetime.

Inside a parked car in a hot day probably is a bad idea, it could get really really hot, plus the strong UV, I am pretty sure its bad for every part of the watch, including the rechargeable battery.

The watch will also charge much faster if it's exposed to direct sunlight that is NOT through a window.

The charts in most Casio solar models show each watch taking approximately five times longer to charge with "sunlight through a window" than with "outdoor sunlight."
