Safe to store G-Shock watch in plastic baggie for long term?

    Hello to all,

I am wondering if it is safe to store my G-Shock long term in those resealable plastic baggies (which are then placed back into the G-Shock box)? The reason I ask is that I understand that if you store plastic parts in plastic bags for long term, sometimes the 2 plastics would react with each other due to some chemical reaction and the plastic may look like it has melted.

I hope that I am making sense.

Thanks in advance for your kind advice. :thanks

    Cheers.

Well, I have thought about it a little, though I can't give you a 100% sure answer. I think the weakmakers in a plastic bag can cause trouble in all kinds of polymers, but Polyurethane, the polymer G-Shock plastic parts are made of doesn't disolve in any solvant, so probaly weakmakers won't have effect on the plastic.

    just my 2 cents,

    Cheers,

Should be fine. Just keep it out of sunlight, don't give it water and whatever you do..... no feeding after midnight
