'See what Smeagol (Sedi) finds!' - DW-5600C-9CV

    Hi folks,
so today a little package came and inside was this:

It's my first 5600-type screwback. It also was very cheap because obviously the seller didn't know what he was selling and the pic was blurry and crappy - barely good enough to see what it was.
The bezel and strap are not really in good shape any more but tiktox has them in stock so no worry. The screwback is much more comfy on the wrist than the normal 4-screw caseback of the DW-5600E which gives me red marks on the wrist so I never wear my DW-5600E. Also the buttons are far better because they are protruding a little further and are centered in the recessed areas of the bezel so I can work them with my fingertips and don't have to use my fingernails which always bothered me on the DW-5600E.
So next month I'll order a new bezel and strap and maybe also some new bezel screws and it's as good as new - the crystal only has some very small scratches on it. Even the little light bulb is still working - by the way: does anybody know what kind of light that is? Is it an LED or does it work like a normal light bulb with a little wire inside?

    Greetings, Sedi

Good score. The light is just a little bulb. Just guessing here but yours is probably green - that model often has a green backlight.

its good to see an important model like this in a home of an appreciating collector!

:thanks guys! I'm wearing it right now but the strap keeper is gone so I just put a rubberband on the strap. Too bad I already spent to much this month on watches so I have to wait til I can order the new bezel and strap. Can't wait to restore it to its former beauty.

the light is white - I hope the bulb will last some time. Is it possible if the module should ever die to replace it with a 1545? Only as a last resort of course - the 901 will stay as long as it's working.

I would like to know the same thing. Will a 1545 module from a DW5600E be a good fit inside the DW5600C-9AV metal watch case? Does anybody in here know?
