    Seriously, how do you stop?

Need some help from the vets here, how do I stop myself from getting more G's? Within the past couple of months I've gotten the 1000G, Final Frog and Glorious Gold frog and now I'm itching for a GA-100-1A1. Spent a pretty big chunk of cash on G's and not sure how to stop. Any tips would help!

P.S People like Ayako and others who are ordering many more G's than me are not helping!

I suppose you could electrocute yourself every time a new G turned up, I reckon that'd put a dampner on your buying spirits.

Stop reading the forum. Any forum or watch related web site. I find the more time I spend away the less I think about watches. I'm not saying it's easy. Especially when I really want to procrastinate over some unpleasant task it's so tempting. But for me it's the best way.

only by experience in my opinion. you have to figure out what you REALLY need and want. fortunately i have reached this stage now, so i'm pretty sure about all the watches I DON'T want.

there comes a time when you realize, that out of the 50+ watches you have only a fistful (at most) get all the wristtime and the rest is sitting in the box or window sill 99% of the time.

unfortunately this learning process can take quite some time (years probably) and cost you.

Yeah, I agree with holger. Eventually you reach a saturation point after the "gotta collect them all" stage. You will inevitably develop favorites, and conversely ones that you previously really liked won't seem all that great anymore. Then you can either sell those, or keep them around - it's fun when you "rediscover" what you liked about a watch.

I really can't help you with that. At this point I don't want to stop.

The only way to stop is by a bowie knife gouging out your eyes.

Stop reading is a good advice. I didn't read this forum very often during a month or two, due to one month vacation abroad and work, no G-Shocks came in, but now I visit the forum regularly again. I bought a Mudman last week and am saving money for one of the solar atomic Gulfmans.
