    setting the world time

I live in Quantico Virginia. Eastern Standard time. I just got the DW-56rt and it has world time on it. I went to set the time so i choose NYC as my starting time zone, set the time and then put the DST funtion on. When i set the time I set it an hour back knowing when i put the DST func. on that it would move forward an hour. SHould i have done that or should i have set it to the correct time regardless of the DST?? and i thought once you set the DST for your home time zone that it would go through and change the other world time zones, but it didn't so am i suppose to go through each one and set the DST in the different countries?? My other G was set up to to have all the DST in the other countries go on automatically. and the manual doesn't really say, but it was late at night when i read so i will try again, but any help would be great,

    Thanks,
    James

My atomics (2 Giez a Pathfinder and Silencer) do not realize when it's DST in countries other than the US.

Set it to DST first, then set the correct time... can't go wrong that way.

You have to set all the other countries seperate... search for World Casio Time on this forum. I have all the cities/countries and the info there.. also a word document with tables that you can download.

By the way.. Cairo and Jerusalem just ended DST.

Thanks for the info. So i have to set each country seperately. Also when you say ended, do you mean they stopped reconizing it or they're done for this year??

    You are welcome.
Yes, you must set each country seperately.
They are done for this year and have gone back to standard time.

again thanks for the link. I basically went to it and then just went down the list and if it said DST i changed it to DST on my watch, if it said standard then i left it alone.
