Sharing the joy! My new Gulfman GW9100-1

    Hi, all!

Just wanted to share my newest G acquisition - a solar-atomic Gulfman.

The Bay, a Canadian department store chain, has a "fifty-percent off all Casios" watch sale this weekend. When the flyer arrived last night and I saw the advertisement, I dashed over to the world-famous West Edmonton Mall and grabbed the one and only Gulfman they had in stock.

The DW9100-1 was already 'on sale' and the store clerk gave me fifty-percent off that price. I'm happy!

    Cheers from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Yes. I think. Casio's USA website says 'titanium case back'. I optimistically assume that just a sloppy copy writer and the description should read 'titanium case and back'. The metal case looks too dull to be stainless steel, so it must be Ti.

    Hi T-88,

Great watch. I bet you got it for a great price. I like the look of the GW-9100. The exposed metal look in actually made of resin, that looks like metal. I won'r be worried about that. It does not rust and acts as an extra shock absorber. I hope you wear this watch in great health!

    Cheers,

    Sjors

The bits that look like titanium are titanium, with the probable exception of the two small pieces in the lower 'windows'.

My response above that I believe the watch case to be Ti is wrong (I think.)

On closer inspection of the case back, I notice it says 'Titanium back.' See photo. So now, I do not believe the Gulfman's case is Ti, only the case back is.

Sjors, I got the watch for a smokin' deal. The department store's sale was "fifty-percent off Casios". The Gulfman's Canadian hang tag MSRP is $C 249.99. ($C 1.00 ~ $US 1.00). The Gulfman had already been put 'on sale' and marked down to $C 187.99, and the store sold it to me for fifty-percent off that price, so with 5-percent sales tax, the final price was about $C 92.00. I'm very, VERY happy.

    DragonJade. Nice pix!

    Cheers from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
