    Shocking size difference - PRX-8000 vs MRG-7600D

So, I have been all over the Gshock map lately.... and have really started to be interested in MRGs and high end casios....

I received the MRG-7600D about a week ago and immediately found it small compared to most modern resin gshocks... but classy and light and super comfortable. I like it a lot.

Then about 2 days ago, I received the PRX-8000. DAMN. This thing is a beast. I like it a lot, but there is such a huge size difference. It's almost like I have to go through an adjustment period when switching out these two.

The MRG-D1000G is a well balanced middle ground, but I'm finding I don't like the all analog operation of that watch.. I am liking the ani-digi combos best....

Congrats on the 8000, very nice piece with a clean dial. I almost pulled the trigger on the PRX-8000MT limited version (I'm a sucker for the polished titanium bezel), but got sidetracked by a limited MTG-G1000 instead, which feels like wearing a brick on your wrist, lol. At least the 8000 is titanium and somewhat light on the wrist. Enjoy those beauties!

It was Grandfather's and when Father gave it to me he said I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire.... I give it to you not that you may remember time, but that you might forget it now and then for a moment and not spend all your breath trying to conquer it."

i have a vintage mrg, it's smallish compared to newer full size. i like it actually for this reason as a dressier, downsize piece for a more subdued look.

With big watches, you get notice better. Chicks will turn their heads and say, "OMG, that guy has a big clock!"

Yes, size difference between watches can often be quite comical!

OMG! Congratulations on both, but that MRG is absolutely gorgeous

If it came with a non steel bracelet and a seconds hand, that'd be my grail watch

Re: Shocking size difference - PRX-8000 vs MRG-7600D

    I tried a PRW-6000, a GPW-1000, and a GWN-1000.

My conclusion is that the sheer size coupled with the big crown poking out makes those smart-crown watches basically unwearable for me. Same goes for the Rangeman. I can't stand having that big protrusion jamming up against my hand. I can tell by how flat and wide is the PRX-8000 that it would be even worse wearing for me.

Actually, the Gulfmaster was the best wearing, because it seemed to have a bit of a bevel under the crown, keeping it clear of the range of my hand's motion. However, I did not like the metal bezel that was asking to be completely ruined by daily wear, so I flipped it.

I would ever like to try a G-Steel, or one of the other watches without a crown. I get the feeling those would be more manageable.
When there is doubt, there is no doubt.
