    Should I purchase a Rangeman?

    Hello users,

I've always been fond of watches and would like to collect in the future (I'm only 17 now). I've been looking for a G-shock for a while now and would love to get one. Recently I came across the Rangeman (9400) and it seems a great deal. It's light (compared to my other 230g watch), strong and full of features.

I only have a few questions. First, is it a large watch that would bother me at college (digging in my wrist etc). Also, is it a watch that can be used for golf, badminton etc?

And finally, would you recommend it? I was putting it off as I was nervous that a new model would come out as it is a 2 year-old watch after all. If not, are there any other watches you would recommend for a stylish, rugged watch that isn't over £300.

    Many thanks.

I wear mine since I purchased it 24/7 and I am not getting bored of it. (I do possess a bunch of wristwatches, so that says something.)
If you get infected with the "G-Virus" you will end up with one sooner or later anyway.
So save the expenses and get one straightawy...

I'm tempted. I reckon I'll go ahead due to the huge range of functions. Hopefully a successor isn't released for a long time.

There's no word on a replacement, and this forum usually gets word of incoming models long before release. It's only 2 years old anyway, the Riseman which it essentially replaced came out in 2008. In short, you've got nothing to worry about.

That's fantastic to hear man, thanks a lot. I'll definitely look to get it now :)

The only concern you might have is the size. Even by g-shock standards it is quite large and bulky. That is the only reason I did not keep mine. I would try one on in a store if you can before buying.

Yes it is a large watch. If it is to be your everyday watch, for everything under the sun I would recommend a smaller all purpose watch. The GW-M5610 is a great all rounder and is slim enough to never be in the way. But then again I like Squares.

    NO!

Since 'PackParts' is no longer selling parts for this watch, I would not buy a Rangeman today. :(

I write this as an owner of four Rangeman watches (2 negative & 2 positive).

OP looks like they-re from the UK, shipping from PacParts would be stupid expensive regardless of what they are or aren't selling.
