    Signal in Dominican Republic

Travelling to Punta Cana in the D.R. at the end of the week. Has anyone been down there with an atomic watch? If so, were you able to get the Fort Collins, Co signal?

Never been to the Dominican Republic, but I hope you bring at least a couple of atomic watches as an experiment.

It would be interesting to see whether your atomic watches sync better in the Dominican Republic than in New York City.

I'm planning on it. Much may depend on the building I'm in, etc., but I'll give it a try. When I'm two hours north of NYC, in Columbia County, my watches almost always sync.

Based on geographical range, they should be able to sync...

...so it will mostly depend on local interference with buildings, weather, mountains etc.

I wish there were more guys from New York City on the board so we could figure out what is the most important factor that complicates reception for you - the urban density of the city in general or something about your building in particular. Enquiring minds want to know.

If you happen to notice an 18-year old down there that has the potential to be the next Albert Pujols or Manny Ramirez, don't forget to call Hank and Hal.

Had my G-Shock Atomic in Punta Cana last year and it synced just fine. Just got back from Playa Del Carmen in Mexico and had no problems there either...
