    In my opinion, the GA-150.

    Ignore the digital screens and just use it as an analog.

    I was going to buy one but I read some reviews that it's very difficult to read in the dark because the lume(?) on the hands isn't very bright, like most analogs, and it doesn't have a light on it.

    As you've asked the question, the simplest analog G ever was this one imo;

    The beautifully simple titanium MR-G.

    Alas, not easy to come by...

    Here are two to consider.

    I got this one for the express purpose of having an analog dial that is easy to read at a quick glance.
    AWGM100-1A - G-Shock, Mens, Tough, Water Resistant, Analog, Digital, Watches | CASIO America, Inc.

    I had the predecessor to this one, the AQS800W. I flipped it for my AWGM100, but it served me well -- no complaints, nothing but praise.
    AQS810W-1AV - Sports, Mens, Womens, Ladies, Digital, Analog Wrist, Watches | CASIO America, Inc.
    It is "not quite a G-Shock" which is why I flipped it. There is a whole thread devoted to Not Quite a G-Shock in the recent history of this forum.

    Be sure and send us wrist shots when you buy your first.

    I like a lot the AQS810W-1AV but the glass is totally cheap and easy to scratch. For outdoor use it will be full of scratches in a short time.

    That is one reason I traded my 800 in on a G-Shock. I did like the solar power and low price, and I wanted its world time feature. Another reason I flipped the 800 is its poor illumination. Only the little digital window lights up. I wanted one with the whole dial lighting up.

    Re: Simple analog G shock

    Are there any analog-only G-Shocks with an alarm in addition to the stopwatch? That would be awesome.
