    Simple mudman transplant ...

I thought I would come up with an alternative to the stock black mudman, so I swapped the whole case with my green camo muddie.

The black's become a bit like the poor man's Dawn muddie, lol, while the camo with the swapped case works better for me now.

Thanks for looking~ opinions/comments most welcome!

That's a very good idea, the results are pretty interesting, seems like you get 2 better looking watches than the original versions, and u did not have to dye anything.

And you get 2 mudmans for the price of one anniversary watch.

Thanks Big G, I took 5 mins to decide whether to do the swap initially, also, I went shopping for dyes last night, to actually totally blacken the red buttons.

The mudman buttons are 'integrated' into the bezel, sigh.....

Forget the dyes or even painting the bezel, simply changing the modules into their 'new' skins, seems to have done the trick for the black mudman.

Frankly I think the amber display sits better in the black skin, and the standard module looks alright in the camo green.

Just joking... interesting... the new black looks better but the camo with 2-tone LCD doesn't work for me...

    Nice new avatar Sammy!

Anyways, the 2 tone display works ok for the camo, because it was not suitable for any other of the muddies, and it has now become a sort of experiment muddie, recipient for all the swapped parts, if any in the future

Humm, nice work but I feel they were better the other way around, I really like the regular clear display in the 1v but, hey if you like it then thats cool with me!

    Hi Pat,

THat is a great un-usual Mudman transformation. The original Mudman looks like a gold version, as you saw on the older models as the -9 version. It looks amazingly good. Even the red buttons look great with it.

In my humble opinion I think the green camo looks not as good like the original...but together with the cream model I personally found this the best looking Mudman (or as someone described a good DJ once, "Even a valley in the Himalaya is still at high altitude").

    Cheers,

    Sjors

Interesting modification. I agree with Sjors on this one, its an improvement for the black muddie, but personnally I like the camo green in its original configuration. As for the red buttons, I kinda like them, although if I had my pick of colors I might have made them yellow or orange.

Thanks Muxinick, I always found it fun to mod my watches, to see how it all pans out.
If I can get my hands on some dyes....
